Lab Support Technician

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Lab Support Technician for a contract position with a Global Biotechnology Company located in Ann Arbor, MI. This is a 3+ month contract opportunity.

This role provides integrated lab service, support, and supply management. The ideal candidate will support dock operations, handle lab supplies and samples, maintain laboratory glassware, and ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment according to established procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Receive, sort, document, monitor and deliver lab supplies, packages, samples, and mail
• Support dock operations, vendor escorts, scheduled deliveries, and rush requests
• Pick up, wash, sterilize, inspect, and return laboratory glassware and equipment
• Maintain clean and organized work areas, docks, storage spaces, and service areas
• Assist with hazardous waste container collection and related documentation
• Manage gas cylinders, garments, and related inventory needs
• Perform routine eyewash and safety shower inspections
• Maintain accurate logs, records, service metrics, and reports
• Follow all safety procedures, standard operating procedures, and guidelines
• Engage in process improvement activities and safety programs

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Able to read, write, and speak English fluently
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to use handheld scanners to enter data in various systems
• Computer proficiency with intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite
• Organizational skills to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Ability to lift 30-40lbs regularly and up to 50lbs occasionally
• Ability to use equipment including pushcarts, pallet jacks, and mobile cylinders to push/pull up to 100lbs
• Ability to stand, walk and conduct manual material handling for prolonged periods
• Ability to work in environments with varied temperatures and wear personal protective equipment

Desired skills:

• 1 year of related experience within a laboratory setting or customer service

Pay range: up to $20.00 per hour
