Apartment Maintenance Tech

McKinley is looking for a motivated and energetic Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team located in Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti, Michigan!

Compensation Range: $19.00 - $21.00/Hourly

• Provide fast, friendly, and high quality maintenance service for residents.
• Diagnose problems and make repairs in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, drywall repair, general cleaning, appliance maintenance, and exterior structure maintenance.
• Prepare vacant apartments for the next resident by carefully inspecting, evaluating, and making any necessary repairs.
• Ensure workplace safety through participation of all applicable safety rules and requirements.

• A minimum of six months of related experience and/or training, including plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and carpentry.
• Desire to provide exceptional customer service with every interaction.
• Great communication skills and professionalism.
• Comfortable bringing and using your own set of basic hand tools at work.
• A valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation is required; you will need to drive your own vehicle around the property.
• A golf cart is not provided; walking from building to building and during grounds pick up is required.
• On-call duty, including weekends, holidays, and snow removal during winter months.
• Previous property management experience preferred, but not required.
