Responsibilities
* * Inspect, repair and maintain waterfall service equipment; change filters, change UV lights and check tank levels. Inspect system for proper operation.

* Service tub equipment, repair and/or replace heaters and chillers as well as greasing and lubing gear boxes, piping and control systems.

* Inspect repair and/or replace relays, controls, pumps, high and low pressure controls for waterfall equipment.

* Repair, build cabinets, lockers, partitions, etc.

* Cooling towers - spraying down and removing debris from tower and pan, check gear box for proper fluid levels. Inspect fan blades and components.

* Check yearly log and report for backflow prev enters.

* Repairing and replacing ice machines, existing water lines, drain lines and filter systems.

* Monitor, adjust and setup Siemens Controls which is a necessary tool to run the Athletic Department equipment (i.e. air handlers, exhaust systems) by checking alarms and operator conditions and facility scheduling to insure efficiency and proper facility operations.

* Provide coverage of various events and game day coverage for multiple sports. Complete pregame walk through that includes repairing and replacing outside lighting including field and court lights, outlets, pumps and motors and fuses for low voltage (115V) units.

* Inspect electrical circuits and operate lighting control system.

* Start and shutdown HVAC systems to clean, repair and/or replace coils and components.

* Ability to operate welding equipment for repairs and fabrication of all general types of metals.

* Perform monthly inspections and cleanings for tankless hot water heaters.

* Seasonal shutdown of facility water systems including draining, blowing out and disassembling water heaters, toilets, sinks and concession equipment.

* Provide coverage of various events by maintaining interior and exterior security, court, rink and field lighting and control systems.

* Pregame repairing of walk-in commercial refrigerators and freezers, ice storage bins and ice machine units and concession equipment.

* Pregame inspection and setup of ice rink dehumidifying system.

* Provide in-service training to other employees on building and equipment inspection, maintenance and repair.

* Disassemble rotating machinery, such as grinders, commercials garbage disposals, dishwashing machines and pumps and replace defective parts, such as bearings, shafts, valves and gears and reassemble.

* Repair and replace sinks, commodes and urinals, including faucets and valve assemblies.

* Maintain, repair and replace specialized equipment and facilities systems, including operating room tables and lights, glass washers, sterilizing equipment, building management system controls and microprocessor based systems, such as pneumatic tube systems, large commercial food service equipment and emergency generators.

* Dismantle mechanical equipment using hoists, scaffolding and chainfalls.

* Prepare sketches and specifications for structural components and building fixtures.

* Install or repair mechanical and electrical equipment, including basic plumbing, wiring and welding, utilizing power equipment, pipe threaders, oxyacetylene torches, ohm and volt meters.

* Assist in electrical repairs, including repulling of wires damaged by overload or heat, removal or installation of motors, trouble-shooting controls and circuits, modification or installation of conduit, circuit breakers or wiring.

* Install new drain and vent systems for laundry equipment.

RELATED DUTIES

* Inspect and test steam and hot water systems, fire and sprinkler systems, compressors, air and exhaust systems to ensure correct operation, cycling and functioning of gauges, valves

and controllers to determine maintenance needed.

* Inspect and repair water, sewer, air and gas lines.

* Repair sheet metal structures, such as ducts, roof gutters, flashing, tanks, blowers, drain pipes and filter housings.

* Repair and replace electrical outlets, switches and light fixtures.

* Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams sketches and job specifications to locate machinery, ducts, piping and valves, and to apply manufacturer's instructions for maintenance and

repair procedures.

* Braze, solder and weld pipe sheet metal and metal fixtures and furniture.

* Repair and replace sinks, commodes and urinals, including faucets and valve assemblies.

* Adjust, repair and replace sheaves, bearings, belts and guards.

Required Qualifications
* * High school Diploma

* 6 years of maintenance or equivalent experience

* Valid driver's license

* Ability to work nights, evenings, weekends, and overtime

Desired Qualifications
* * At least 2 years of experience in a hospitality industry working in an athletic, hotel or convention facility environment.

* CPO License Aerial Lift & Forklift Certification

* Relevant coursework in electrical, welding, or HVAC, or equivalent experience

* Reasonable computer-use ability including data entry, on-line research, use of the internet, email, and document manipulation
