San Mateo-Foster City School District is looking for a Building Trades Specialist. The role is a full-time position, 8 hours/day, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM with a half‑hour lunch break. Preference is given to individuals with a carpentry background. Under direction, the specialist will perform journey‑level work in a building trade designated by the District and may perform skilled, semi‑skilled, and unskilled work in other building trades as assigned.

• Perform journey‑level work in carpentry, plumbing, welding, and/or locksmithing as designated.
• Carry out troubleshooting, diagnosis, design, and repair work for institutional or commercial building maintenance.
• Alter, construct, install, and maintain buildings, equipment, and appurtenances according to district specifications.
• Perform related work as required by the district.

• Valid California driver’s license.
• Successful completion of a reading test.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Driving a service vehicle (swivel loader optional).

• Salary range: $33.71 – $43.02 per hour.
• 12 paid vacation days; 12 paid sick days; 16 paid holidays + 2 floating holidays.
