The A&P Mechanic is a full‑time, hybrid role based in Ann Arbor, MI, with some work‑from‑home tasks acceptable when appropriate (e.g., documentation, training, or remote coordination). Day‑to‑day responsibilities include performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a variety of aircraft, with emphasis on airworthiness and adherence to regulatory standards. The role involves troubleshooting aircraft systems, documenting all work performed, coordinating with flight operations, and communicating clearly with team members and customers about maintenance status and requirements.
The A&P Mechanic will follow safety protocols, maintain accurate maintenance records, and support continuous improvement in maintenance practices and customer service.
- Strong aircraft maintenance knowledge, including Aircraft Maintenance and Aircraft Systems, with the ability to diagnose and repair issues efficiently.
- Demonstrated expertise in Power Plant and related systems, ensuring proper performance and reliability.
- Thorough understanding of Airworthiness requirements and practical experience maintaining safe, compliant Aircraft.
- Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification from the FAA.
- Experience working in general aviation environments; familiarity with training or flight school operations is beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and regulatory documentation.
- Strong attention to detail, safety‑focused mindset, and effective communication skills with colleagues and customers.
- Capability to work on‑site in hangar and flight line environments in Ann Arbor, MI, with flexibility for limited remote work activities.
