Job DescriptionThe Auto Body Technician’s primary responsibility is to provide an exceptional customer experience by assessing and repairing each vehicle to its pre‑accident condition. The Technician disassembles, repairs, and reassembles vehicles, ensuring speed, quality, and customer excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Execute WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan consistently.
- Plan repair work, prepare cost estimates, and use tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers.
- Reduce dents and minor body damage, mix and apply filler resins when necessary.
- Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
- Remove damaged sections and replace with new or aftermarket parts, including glass and windshields.
- Replace or repair interior parts.
- Weld, attach, or fit parts; prepare and repaint vehicles per factory specifications.
- Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a technical school program or a 3‑year apprenticeship as an auto‑body repairer.
- Read job orders and work independently.
- Collaborate with other repairers.
- Understand methods and procedures for vehicle body repair.
- Proficient in using required tools.
- Work safely in noisy, odorous environments.
- Lift up to 30 pounds as needed.
- Inspect vehicle damage in varied weather conditions.
- Bend, stretch, kneel, and squat during repairs and inspections.
