Commercial HVAC Service Technician (Union Position)

Toledo, OH

Campbell Mechanical Services is a third-generation, family-owned mechanical contractor with a long-standing presence in the commercial and industrial HVAC market. With over 100 employees and a reputation built on consistency and quality, we support a wide range of facilities across Northern Ohio and Southeast Michigan.

We are currently seeking a skilled Commercial HVAC Technician to support service and preventative maintenance operations.

Work Schedule

Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Overtime and on-call rotation as required

Position Overview

This role focuses on servicing, maintaining, and troubleshooting commercial HVAC systems across a variety of facility types. The position requires a strong mechanical background and the ability to work independently while representing the company in a professional manner on job sites.

Core Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance on commercial HVAC equipment
  • Diagnose and repair system issues across heating, cooling, and ventilation systems
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and controls-related problems in the field
  • Complete service work in accordance with company and union standards
  • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly with customers and internal teams
  • Maintain job documentation and service records accurately
  • Support preventative maintenance programs to ensure system reliability
Required Experience and Qualifications
  • Commercial or industrial HVAC service experience
  • Working knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and building automation
  • EPA Universal Certification
  • OSHA 10 Certification
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • Comfortable working at heights and in various commercial environments
  • Strong troubleshooting ability and mechanical aptitude
  • Effective communication skills with customers and team members
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and union education programs
Preferred Background
  • HVAC trade school or technical certification
  • Journeyman status or ability to obtain
