Security Systems Installer

Full-time, on-site Security Systems Installer with experience needed in Southeast Michigan.

Daily responsibilities include reading and interpreting technical drawings, running and terminating cabling, mounting equipment, programming systems, and performing functional checks to ensure optimal performance. The role involves troubleshooting system issues, performing routine maintenance, and working closely with project managers, technicians, and clients to complete installations on schedule and according to specifications. The installer will also document work performed, follow safety protocols, and support upgrades or expansions of existing systems.

Qualifications

• Experience installing and configuring electronic security systems such as CCTV, access control, and monitoring solutions.
• Proficiency with low-voltage wiring, cable management, terminations, and use of hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and installation manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and network-related security system issues.
• Knowledge of basic networking concepts (IP addressing, routers, switches) as they relate to security systems.
• Commitment to safety practices, adherence to company and regulatory standards, and proper use of PPE.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members, contractors, and clients.
• Reliable time management, organizational skills, and ability to work independently in the field.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer sites within Michigan as required.
• Relevant technical certification or vocational training in electronics, security systems, or a related field is preferred; prior experience in security or low-voltage installation is highly beneficial.
