Field Services Engineer

Customer Service/Field Service Engineer position available in the Ann Arbor, MI.

This is travel position located at our client location who is leading manufacturer. Direct hire opportunity with a pay rate of $35.00 an hour plus OT. Schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with OT and weekends/holidays during busy times. Must be flexible. Some in office work for training. Will provide on-site and remote troubleshooting, diagnostics, installation, and support for injection mold, aluminum extrusion, and die cast machines.

Requires strong knowledge of industrial machinery, electrical systems, mechanical principles, and precision components.

• -Install new machines and components; oversee final acceptance testing
• -Train customers and service technicians on machine operation
• -Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues on-site and by phone
• -Use and maintain technical and precision measurement equipment
• -Fabricate or modify machine components for customer-specific needs
• -Read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and schematics
• -Work with pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems
• -Prepare technical reports using Excel, Word, and Power Point

• -Associate’s degree or 2–3 years of related experience (or equivalent combination)
• -Working knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical theory
• -Strong written and verbal communication skills

• -PLC experience
• -Mechanical background
• -Prior customer service experience

• -Travel to customer sites for installation, rigging, assembly, and training
