Job Description /Preferred Qualifications

We are seeking a skilled Machine Learning/AI Scientist intern to join our Services AI Engineering team. The successful candidate will be a part of our AI innovations group driving advanced research and development for future KLA use-cases. This individual will play a key role in architecting, developing, and testing their research.

Key Responsibilities:

* Research emerging AI technologies focused on multimodal models and AI databases

* Design, develop, and deploy proof of concepts from research

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate models into our existing systems and workflow

* Participate in AI research and systems architecture discussions and code reviews

* Conduct data engineering and analysis to improve model accuracy and efficiency

* Fine-tune models based on feedback and performance metrics

Minimum Qualifications

Qualifications:

* Master's degree and above in AI, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

* Hands-on experience in machine learning, natural language processing, and AI technologies

* Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with ML libraries (Ex. Tensor Flow, Pytorch)

* Experience with developing and deploying large language models either cloud or on-premise

* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops

* Prior experience in a similar industry is a plus

* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

* Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Base Pay Range: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour based on pursuit of a Masters and Ph.D.
