Software Engineer, Full Stack Developer
Job Title:
Software Engineer (SaaS Platform/AI)
For this position we are looking for an experienced, creative, disciplined, full stack web developer to join a team that is building an innovative toolset to help information owners provide customized web portal delivery of high volumes of structured interlinked documents and metadata. The successful applicant will demonstrate high competence in basic web technologies, and a good understanding of human-computer interaction for hypermedia applications.
Responsibilities- Assist with design and implementation of web delivery toolset
- Optimize application for usability, performance, and scalability
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
- Provide support and services assistance for the full platform and supplemental tools
This position will require skill in working with the latest tools for AI-assisted development, to include:
- Ability to validate, refactor, and product ionize AI-generated code
- Experience integrating LLM APIs into production systems
- Familiarity with RAG architectures and vector databases
- Understanding of prompt injection, AI safety, and output validation
Our current technology stack requires familiarity and comfort working in some of the following areas, and a demonstrated ability to pick up new technologies quickly:
- HTML5 CSS
- XML scss
- Apache free marker HTTP
- jQuery JSON
- XSLT2
- Spring Framework and Spring Boot
- Java
- RESTful APIs
- SQL and noSQL databases
Our application is moving toward full linked data capabilities across XML and RDF data sources, which will require familiarity with the following additional technologies:
- RDF SPARQL
- OWL SKOS
- d3.js xAPI
- turtle JSON-LD
Preference will be given to applicants with Dev Ops and Dev Sec Ops background, including in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD automation, container orchestration (Docker or K8s), monitoring solutions, performance engineering and testing, as well as Linux and AWS experience.
