Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Software Engineer with specialized expertise in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Science to join our technology team. The role focuses on developing impactful AI solutions that drive business transformation and technological advancement.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and implement machine learning models and AI algorithms to address business challenges, including data preprocessing, model training, validation, and deployment.
- Architect scalable systems capable of handling large volumes of data and complex AI/ML workloads, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Implement robust, maintainable, production‑ready AI/ML solutions with considerations for security, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in AI, ML, and data science; conduct research to explore new methodologies or improve existing ones.
- Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams (data engineers, product managers, software developers, business partners) to integrate advanced solutions into products and services.
- Apply critical thinking to solve complex problems requiring innovative approaches to data analysis, model architecture, system integration, and business strategy.
- Oversee deployment of AI/ML models into production environments, ensuring scalability, performance, reliability, and post‑deployment monitoring.
- Document processes, methodologies, and findings; share knowledge through internal presentations, workshops, or contributions to the knowledge base.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or related field;
Master’s and/or PhD preferred. - Minimum eight (8) years of software engineering experience, with 3–5 years in AI/ML and a proven record of deploying solutions in production.
- Proficiency in Python or similar languages; experience with Tensor Flow, Scikit‑learn, and RAG essential.
- Strong background in statistics, machine learning algorithms, deep learning, neural networks, and system architecture.
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms, Dev Ops practices, and data processing technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and work effectively in matrix environments.
- Excellent communication skills for translating technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with software engineering best practices, version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, agile methodologies, and design patterns.
- Hybrid role based out of our Midwest HQ in Ann Arbor, MI.
- Experience with specialized AI domains or industry‑specific applications.
- Contributions to open‑source projects or research publications in AI/ML.
- Knowledge of AI ethics and responsible AI practices.
Base Pay Range: $ – $ Annually (salary depends on role, level, and location).
