Role:
Power Builder Developer

Duration: 1 year with possible extension.

Location:

Lansing, MI – Hybrid work schedule, onsite 2 days a week. Local candidates only.

• 10+ years’ experience in Power Builder Development (version 2017 or higher).
• 10+ years’ experience writing complex SQL queries for Sybase and MS SQL Server databases.
• 10+ years’ experience documenting and performing unit testing.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience with source control, data profiling, mapping, manipulation, validation, and analysis.
• Proven ability to work in a team environment, learn quickly, and decipher code with minimal guidance.

• Research and modify Power Builder source code to document application steps with data.
• Develop complex T‑SQL queries and processes to extract, manipulate, and migrate data.
• Perform data profiling, mapping, cleansing, validation, and analysis.
• Use source control systems and collaborate with other developers.
• Document and perform unit testing to support program changes.
• Create, update, and maintain program documentation, system specifications, and flow diagrams.
• Support test scenarios with client and/or Business Analyst.
• Analyze production issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide solutions.
• Follow change management procedures and contribute to change implementation.
• Gather requirements and ensure functionality meets agency needs.
