We are seeking an experienced Software QA Automation Engineer to join our team in Ann Arbor, MI. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Java automation, API testing, CI/CD, databases, messaging systems, and enterprise application testing
.

• Develop and maintain test strategies, test scenarios, and automation estimates.
• Build and execute unit, component, integration, acceptance, load, security, scalability, usability, and platform tests.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites using industry-standard tools.
• Partner with developers to identify technical solutions and ensure comprehensive application test coverage.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and support execution across multiple environments.
• Analyze test failures, create detailed defects, validate fixes, and update automation as needed.
• Participate in code reviews and follow automation coding standards and best practices.
• Perform exploratory testing to identify unexpected application behavior.
• Support QA, development, and production release activities and provide test results for production sign-off.
• Participate in Major Incident and Emergency Change analysis and identify opportunities to automate regression testing.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of software/QA industry experience
  , preferably in an Agile environment.
• 5+ years of Java coding experience.
• Hands-on experience with:
• Playwright
• Java
• Rest Assured
• Spring Boot 2
• GraphQL and/or Postman
• Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AMQ
  .
• Experience with Jenkins/JenkinsX and CI/CD processes
  .
• Strong experience with Git/Stash and source-control practices.
• Strong SQL skills for test data preparation and data validation.
• Experience with manual and automated testing.
• Experience with JIRA and defect management.
• Knowledge of databases and different data formats used in application testing.
• Experience with service-oriented architectures.

• Experience with Couchbase

• SQL Server and SQL Server Management Studio experience.
• Experience with Splunk for troubleshooting and validating application fixes.
• Kubernetes and container-based application deployment/operations experience.
• Experience with POS systems, payment gateways, or payment terminals
  .
• Experience testing high-traffic eCommerce applications
  .

The ideal candidate is a hands-on automation engineer who can code in Java, build scalable automation frameworks, test APIs and distributed applications, integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines, and troubleshoot failures across application, database, and messaging layers
