Job Overview
The Warehouse Team Member II maintains a well‑stocked and organized warehouse and assists Route Service Managers. The role requires regular delivery of batteries.
Responsibilities- Load and unload batteries
- Restock batteries
- Charge, clean, date, and rewrap rotations
- Charge, test, clean, and date adjustment batteries
- Maintain a safe and clean warehouse environment
- Accurately maintain warehouse reporting and claims
- Operate a forklift and motor vehicle
- Run the Hot Shots on a timely basis as needed
- Fill in for NAC Delivery Specialist or RSM, as needed
- Collect and handle payments on account, including cash, checks, and money orders
- Collect and return junk and/or used batteries to the warehouse
- Follow and fulfill all driver program requirements, as specified by the manager
- Perform other duties as requested
- Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience preferred
- Strong written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure
- Knowledge of carrier operations, shipment routing, and distribution methods
- Knowledge of state, federal, and interstate commerce regulations
- Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems
- Understanding of hazardous shipping laws and requirements
- Ability to operate motor vehicles and/or forklift
- Must have a clean driver’s record and meet driver qualification requirements
Frequent independent judgment and decision making, backup driver responsibilities, operation with integrity, and a positive attitude.
Work Environment- Regularly required to use hands to grasp, handle, talk, hear, stand, walk
- Close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs without assistance and occasionally up to 75 lbs
- Exposure to battery warehouse conditions, moving equipment, mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals
- Exposure to road hazards when operating or riding in a vehicle
Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required.
