Overview
The Shuttle Driver I is responsible for ensuring efficient and courteous service to and from Kewadin Casinos for all guests. The position provides attentive, cheerful, courteous, professional customer service to all customers, internal and external, striving to exceed their expectations.
Responsibilities- Provide transportation for guests to and from their hotels to the casino.
- Perform pre-trips and clean company vehicles.
- Answer office phone and assign vehicles as needed.
- Dispatch shuttles when required.
- Provide transportation for guests to and from the airport.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
Immediate peers, peers in other departments, immediate supervisor/manager, managers in other departments, executives, Board of Directors, customers, outside vendors/service providers and Federal, State and local law enforcement officials.
Physical RequirementsPosition requires heavy lifting up to 100 pounds with dual lifting and frequent lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds. Physical factors include constant sitting and driving, use of hearing, near/midrange/far and color vision, depth perception and field of vision; frequent use of smell and occasional standing, walking, carrying up to 50 pounds, lifting/pushing/pulling up to 100 pounds, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, reaching, typing, and ending.
Working conditions include constant exposure to weather; frequent exposure to extreme heat/cold, wet/humidity, and noise and air quality. Potential hazards include exposure to moving mechanical parts, electric shock, chemicals, infectious exposure and equipment.
- Education:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred. - Experience:
One year experience transporting passengers preferred.
Must have a chauffer's license. Must have a valid driver license and be insurable by the Sault Tribe Insurance Department. Must comply with annual driver license review and insurability standards with the Sault Tribe Insurance Department.
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
- Must know the location of all hotels in the area.
- Must stay up to date with all events and promotions at Kewadin Casino.
- Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, coworkers and the general public.
- Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Must have a friendly attitude and be able to work alone or in a group.
- Must be able to learn quickly and possess good communication skills.
- Must be able to be on call 24/7 and work flexible hours.
- Native American preferred.
Salary: $17.82 per hour
