Job Overview

Responsibilities

As a Heavy Equipment Operator I you will work at a recycling facility serving millions of customers, operating equipment such as bulldozers, scrapers, and front‑end loaders to move and position raw materials and finished components.

  • Operate heavy equipment in compliance with company operating safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct routine equipment inspections, preventive maintenance, and maintain accurate records.
  • Move and position raw materials and finished components using material‑moving equipment.
  • Follow appropriate standard operating procedures for operating and maintaining vehicles.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of experience operating heavy equipment.
  • Over 18 years of age.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Successfully complete and pass a pre‑employment drug screen and physical exam.
Pay & Hours

Starting salary of $27.00 per hour. Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with occasional overtime. Stated hours are weekly 8.25 hours per day.

Physical Demands
  • Use motor coordination and finger dexterity for the majority of the workday.
  • Handle objects less than 30 pounds occasionally.
  • Exposed to physical occupational risks such as cuts, burns, and toxic chemicals rarely.
  • Work environment includes dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes, and similar elements most of the workday.
  • Work setting: shop or field (waste disposal site).
