Are you an Accountant who wants to be closer to the business—not just closing the books, but understanding what the numbers mean, what is driving performance, and how finance can influence better decisions? At Ingersoll Rand’s Sidney, Ohio manufacturing site, this role offers the opportunity to step into a visible, hands‑on finance position supporting a growing, high‑potential business unit. Reporting to the Controller, you’ll own key pieces of the month‑end close, cost accounting, variance analysis, journal entries, and financial reporting, while partnering directly with plant and operations leaders to connect financial performance to what is happening on the production floor.
This is not a routine, back‑office accounting role. With shared services supporting transactional activity, your focus will be on higher‑value work: analyzing costs, identifying trends, explaining variances, supporting internal controls, and helping leadership make informed decisions around production, profitability, and operational performance.
The right person will ideally bring strong manufacturing accounting experience, solid ERP and Excel skills, and the ability to communicate financial information clearly across different levels of the organization. Just as important, this role is ideal for someone who is curious, business‑minded, and ready to grow—that wants to build credibility with operations, strengthen their cost accounting depth, and develop toward future leadership opportunities.
If you’re a hands‑on Accountant who wants more ownership, more visibility, and a stronger connection to the business, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact at a site where finance plays an important role in helping the operation move forward.
