Welding and Fabrication Field Technician – Full Time, Anna, OH30+ days ago | Requisition

- Maintain a low safety incident occurrence history
- Load and unload truck
- Read and interpret blueprints and engineering plans
- Use blueprints and data, such as work plans, to develop and design welding/assembly projects
- Lay out, cut, fit, measure and weld metals to create the desired shape or object – highly detailed work that requires knowledge of many techniques and tools
- Constantly inspect and test welds and equipment; check welds for durability and compliance with specified standards; examine equipment to determine if repairs or new equipment are needed
- 3 years of experience
- Possess a thorough understanding of industrial trades
- Enjoys working with hands and has an analytical mind
- Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge of welding processes such as TIG, MIG and ARC
- Ability to use heavy machinery, such as forklifts and cranes
- Ability to push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs on occasion; stand, bend, stoop, squat, reach and sit for long periods of time
- Must not be afraid of heights or confined spaces
- Have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work overtime including weekends and holidays as needed
- Adaptability to changing schedules, priorities and department processes
- Ability to simultaneously handle the demands of internal and external customers
- Knowledge or experience of other skilled trades (Plumbing, Electrical, Welding) – preferred
