Overview

Univar Solutions is hiring for a Warehouse Person. The role involves handling inbound and outbound warehouse operations including receiving, unloading, storing, picking, staging, and loading packaged and bulk materials. The position requires safe operation of equipment and effective communication with internal teams and customers.

• Perform required pre-use inspections of equipment and provide required reports. Monitor hours of service accurately.
• Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations. Assist customers with questions or problems and attend to customer needs. Ensure delivered goods correspond to products identified on the bill of lading.
• Maintain all required certifications required by the DOT, OSHA, and company safety programs.
• Maintain and protect all company property entrusted to you in excellent condition.
• During loading and unloading of trucks, check weights of shipments and monitor distribution weight to legal road limits. Check material for damage and quantity discrepancies. Engage appropriate Univar Solutions team members if any discrepancies exist.
• Pick up empty or partially empty drums and totes. Review paperwork to ensure transport of material is authorized and in compliance.
• Operate forklift to pick material, store and stage material.
• Bulk offload material from bulk tank trucks or rail cars.
• Operate drum line and drum material to meet Univar Solutions and customer specifications. Ensure proper labeling of material.
• Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations (e.g., warehouse clean up).
• Attend and participate in training meetings.
• Perform duties and tasks in a manner consistent with the business responsibilities of a Univar Solutions employee.

• Frequently able to lift, pull, or push 50 lbs. Occasionally push or pull fully stacked pallets on a pallet jack.
• The role involves unloading inbound inventory using a forklift, connecting hoses and tanks to offload inbound bulk inventory, and placing inventory away in the warehouse; breaking down pallets as needed.

• Experience operating a forklift and performing bulk material handling in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and meet regulatory requirements (DOT, OSHA).
• Strong attention to detail, ability to verify product against bills of lading, and effective communication with team members and customers.
