What Our Veterinary Technicians Do

  • Assist veterinarians with examinations, surgeries, dental procedures, and medical treatments
  • Safely restrain and handle patients using compassionate, low-stress techniques
  • Monitor anesthesia, patient vital signs, surgical recovery, and hospitalized patients
  • Perform venipuncture, place IV catheters, and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments
  • Collect laboratory samples, perform in-house diagnostics, and assist with diagnostic imaging
  • Assist with emergency triage, stabilization, CPR, and critical patient care
  • Prepare patients, surgical suites, and equipment while maintaining strict sterilization protocols
  • Fill prescriptions under veterinarian supervision
  • Educate clients on preventive care, medications, nutrition, and home-care instructions
  • Provide compassionate discharge instructions and client education
  • Maintain accurate medical records and assist with inventory and daily hospital operations
  • Keep treatment areas, exam rooms, and surgical suites clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards

What You’ll Bring

  • Previous veterinary technician experience required
  • Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, or RVT) preferred
  • Passion for animal health and client education
  • Calm, confident demeanor during emergencies
  • Strong technical skills, including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, laboratory procedures, and anesthesia monitoring
  • Excellent communication and client-service skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with veterinary software and basic computer skills
  • Commitment to maintaining accurate medical records and high standards of patient care
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and a collaborative mindset
  • Desire to continue learning and contributing to a positive hospital culture
