Position Overview

Syrus Construction is seeking a Construction Administrative Assistant to support our Project Managers and field teams with the daily administrative and operational functions necessary to keep projects running efficiently.

This role is ideal for an individual with prior construction experience who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and interested in building a long-term career in the construction industry. The position offers a growth path into an Assistant Project Manager role for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to Project Managers and field personnel
  • Process and track field employee timesheets and workforce information
  • Assist with material purchasing, order tracking, and delivery coordination
  • Receive, inspect, and coordinate deliveries at the corporate office, ensuring materials, equipment, and packages are properly documented and distributed to the appropriate project teams or personnel
  • Maintain project files, records, and documentation
  • Prepare and distribute project-related correspondence and reports
  • Coordinate meetings, schedules, and project communications
  • Track project milestones and assist with internal reporting

    Ensure timely and accurate flow of information between office and field teams
  • Assist with document management, filing, and data entry
  • Support general office operations related to active construction projects
Required Qualifications
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced knowledge of building materials and construction practices
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings
  • Understanding of construction terminology and project workflows
  • Experience supporting construction project teams in an administrative capacity
