We are looking for a passionate, caring, and FUN Backup - Fairfax Future Artist Instructor to lead an engaging art program for youth. This role is ideal for someone passionate about inspiring young artists, guiding hands‑on projects, and creating a positive, encouraging classroom environment.
ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver weekly art lessons suitable for children ages 5–9.
Introduce students to basic techniques in drawing, painting, mixed media, and creative expression.
Prepare materials and set up the classroom prior to each session.
Provide step‑by‑step instruction while allowing freedom for individual creativity.
Maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all participants.
Encourage students, offer constructive feedback, and support their artistic growth.
Communicate as needed with site staff regarding supplies, attendance, or class updates.
Manage cleanup and ensure materials are stored properly after class.
Experience working with children (teaching, tutoring, camps, childcare, or similar).
Background in art, design, or creative instruction preferred.
Ability to lead a group, communicate clearly, and engage young learners.
Reliable, punctual, and able to manage a structured classroom.
Positive, encouraging attitude with a passion for helping children develop confidence through art.
We need a back‑up Instructors for this program. Make sure you look at the location, dates, and times and you available for the whole program. Interview process is easy and fun.
