Constellation Energy seeks a Control Room Operator to safely monitor and control power generation and distribution systems in a 24/7 environment. You will oversee SCADA/HMI systems, respond to alarms, adjust equipment settings, and coordinate with field technicians to maintain reliable, efficient energy delivery. Responsibilities include logging operational data, executing standard operating procedures, supporting incident response, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
You'll join a collaborative, innovation-driven team working on impactful, sustainability-focused energy projects.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control power generation and distribution systems via SCADA/HMI interfaces
- Respond to alarms and abnormal conditions, taking corrective actions to maintain safe, reliable operations
- Adjust equipment settings and operating parameters to optimize efficiency and grid stability
- Coordinate with field technicians, maintenance, and engineering during outages or equipment issues
- Maintain accurate logs of operating data, events, and shift handovers
- Execute standard operating and emergency procedures in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Support incident investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, environmental standards, and company policies
- Communicate system status and operational risks clearly to supervisors and stakeholders
- Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and performance
