The Rehabilitation Techisathighriskforexposuretobloodandbodyfluids .
SUPERVISIONRECEIVED- Reportstothe Director of Rehabordesignee .
- Asdelegated
- High Schoolgraduateorequivalent.
- CNA certification in VA is required*
- Previousexperienceinpatient/residentcareinanursingcenter,hospital,or rehabilitationcenterpreferred.
Therapystudentswillbeconsidered.
- Worksinwell-lighted/ventilated officeandtherapy areas.
- Sitting,standing,bending,liftingandmovingintermittentlyduringworkinghours.
- Subjecttofrequentinterruptions.
- Involvedwithpatients/residents,family members,personnel,etc.,underallconditions/circumstances.
- Subjecttohostileandemotionallyupsetpatients/residents,family members,etc.
- Communicates with the medical staff, nursing personnel, andother departmentsupervisors.
- Willingness to work beyond normal working hours, and in other positions temporarily, when necessary.
- Mustbeconstantlyalertforpatient’s/resident’ssafety.
- Subject to falls, burns from equipment, infectious diseases, odors, etc., throughout the workday.
- Subjecttolifting,carryingandsupportingpatients/residents.
- Abletotravelbetweenfacilitiesasindicatedby Supervisor.
- Mobilephoneuseisonlypermittedduringbreakandnonpaidallocatedlunchtimes.
Phonesshouldbekeptonvibrateatalltimes.
- Completionofon-the-joborientationandtrainingprogram.
- Must be able to move (walk, stoop, bend, stand, sit push, pull and lift) intermittently throughout the workday.
- Must beable tospeak the Englishlanguageinanunderstandablemanner.
- Mustbeabletocopewiththementalandemotionalstressoftheposition.
- Mustpossesssight/hearingsensesoruseprostheticsthatwillenablethesesensestofunctionadequately,sothattherequirementsofthispositioncanbefullymet.
- Mustfunctionindependently,have flexibility,personal integrity,andtheabilitytoworkeffectivelywithpatients,clients,andteammembers.
- Mustbeingoodgeneral healthanddemonstrateemotionalstability.
- Mustbeabletoandworkwithill,disabled,elderly,emotionallyupset,andattimes,hostilepeoplewithinthefacility.
- Mustbeabletoliftpatients/residents,medicalequipment,supplies,etc.to50lbs
