Technology Specialist Responsibilities- Provide leadership, organization, and training to staff and students in the area of technology.
- Support the development of students' digital literacy and technology skills and assist staff in integrating technology into classroom instruction.
- Assist with technology equipment management, instructional technology initiatives, and staff development.
- Provide age-appropriate technology instruction and evaluate student learning outcomes.
- Teach digital citizenship, including online safety, cyberbullying prevention, and digital ethics.
- Assist in student crisis counseling as needed.
- Organize technology lab furniture and equipment to create a safe and effective learning environment.
- Assess staff technology needs and establish training priorities; provide ongoing technology training and support to staff.
- Serve as a resource for teachers in the use of instructional technology and recommend tools that support student learning.
- Model effective technology integration in classroom instruction.
- Develop and monitor assigned technology budgets.
- Select instructional technology programs, materials, and strategies for student use.
- Maintain communication with staff and external partners as needed.
- Ensure technology equipment is properly maintained, organized, and stored.
- Support school-wide technology initiatives and projects; participate in technology committees and task forces.
- Assist with the purchase and maintenance of computer systems.
- Support technology setup and operation for school events and activities.
- Attend staff meetings, professional development activities, and school events as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Collegiate Professional Certificate or higher in a relevant content area preferred.
- Experience teaching technology and/or supporting technology integration in an educational environment preferred.
- Knowledge of instructional technology tools and digital learning platforms.
- Strong presentation, training, and communication skills.
- Ability to support students with varying academic, behavioral, and learning needs.
- Experience providing staff training and coaching preferred.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and technology troubleshooting skills.
