  • Assist with physician-directed IV therapy services according to written clinical protocols and provider orders.
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after infusion sessions, including vital signs, comfort level, IV site condition, and any changes in clinical status.
  • Promptly report patient concerns, adverse symptoms, IV complications, difficult draws, failed access attempts, or changes in status to the supervising physician or appropriate licensed provider.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record, including treatment notes, vitals, IV access details, phlebotomy documentation, patient response, and any relevant clinical observations.
  • Follow OSHA, infection control, sterile technique, sharps safety, specimen handling, and clinic safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked clinical environment.
  • Support general clinical workflow as needed, including patient intake, rooming, vitals, lab support, and coordination with the care team.
Requirements
  • Current and unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • Documented IV therapy training, IV certification, or demonstrated competency in peripheral IV insertion strongly preferred.
  • Strong phlebotomy, venipuncture, and peripheral IV insertion skills required.
  • Extensive experience working with elderly and senior patient populations required.
  • Experience with fragile veins, difficult venous access, and senior patients strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a medical office, infusion setting, urgent care, senior care, specialty clinic, or similar healthcare environment.
  • Comfortable working under physician supervision and following written clinical protocols.
  • Strong attention to detail, patient communication skills, and ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Professional, reliable, and committed to patient safety.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in an infusion clinic, primary care clinic, urgent care, senior care clinic, home health, assisted living, skilled nursing, or geriatric-focused setting.
  • Korean language ability preferred but not required.
  • Experience drawing blood from older adults with fragile or difficult veins.
  • Experience monitoring patients during IV therapy or outpatient procedures.
  • Competitive hourly compensation based on experience and skill level.
  • Physician-supervised clinical environment with clear protocols.
  • Opportunity to develop specialized experience in outpatient IV therapy and phlebotomy.
  • Flexible scheduling options, including full-time, part-time, or PRN. No overnight shifts.
