Tax Senior

Reports To: Manager / Principal / Partner

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Senior Tax Accountant with 5–10 years of public accounting experience to join our team. The ideal candidate is technically proficient, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality service and guidance. A successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, leadership, technical proficiency, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

• Lead the preparation and review of complex tax returns (individual, corporate, partnership, trust and nonprofit)
• Supervise, mentor and train staff, providing constructive feedback and technical guidance
• Conduct technical research on complex tax and accounting issues and prepare memoranda as needed
• Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients, maintaining strong, professional relationships
• Monitor engagement budgets, timelines and deliverables to ensure efficient project completion
• Stay current with evolving tax laws, accounting standards, and regulatory changes
• Identify opportunities for value-added services and contribute to the firm’s growth and client retention

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s in Accounting or Tax preferred)
• CPA license preferred or in active pursuit
• 5–10 years of recent experience in a public accounting firm
• Strong technical knowledge of tax regulations
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex engagements and lead teams
• Proficient in accounting and tax software (e.g., Ultra Tax, Quick Books, etc.)
• Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills
• Professional presence and ability to work directly with clients
• Committed to continuous learning and leadership development
• Willingness to work extended hours during peak periods, including evenings and weekends
