Kforce has a client that is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist in Annapolis, MD.
Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support the day-to-day accounts payable function. This role is responsible for processing invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, resolving payment discrepancies, and ensuring timely and accurate payments. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Process and verify vendor invoices for accuracy and proper approval
- Prepare and process payments, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies
- Maintain accurate vendor records and payment documentation
- Respond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding payment status
- Assist with month-end close activities and account reconciliations
- Monitor aging reports and outstanding liabilities
- Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls
- Support audit requests and special projects as needed
- 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience
- Experience processing invoices and vendor payments
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, Workday, or Dynamics

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

- Salaried personnel receive paid time off.
- Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
