Performs general secretarial and clerical office tasks in support of the Community Schools program at the assigned school. Assists the Community School Program Manager with the scheduling and advertising of Community School programming, helps register students and monitor attendance records using approved district platforms, assists with payroll for staff working in Community School programming, and helps with preparing and processing forms, records, correspondence, and documents for the Community Schools program.
Bilingual and biliterate in targeted language may be required depending on assignment.
Assists Community School Program Manager with program-related phone calls and communication.
Enrolls students and families into district approved platform to monitor attendance and engagement in Community School events.
Schedules and copies materials for Community School meetings.
Assists Community School Program Manager with compiling paperwork needed for program reporting and documentation.
Composes and distributes reports, letters, forms, lists, newsletters, agenda, schedules, and/or other correspondence for the Community School program.
Originates purchase and payment requests on behalf of the Community School Program Manager as directed.
Compiles, reviews, and submits timesheets for program-related payroll.
Performs other related duties as assigned within the same classification or lower.
High School Diploma or Equivalency Certificate required.
One (1) year recent office experience performing work of a progressively responsible nature required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities deemed sufficient to prepare the employee to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Demonstrated ability to speak and write effectively.
Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures, business English, and spelling.
Ability to exercise initiative and good judgment in the timely execution of delegated administrative responsibilities.
Ability to exercise tact and cooperation in dealing with students, Board of Education personnel, contractors, and/or outside agencies and the general public.
Demonstrated ability to effectively work and communication with diverse populations.
Demonstrated proficiency with business technology applications (e.g. Video/Web Conferencing, Microsoft Office Suite-Word, Excel, Outlook, and/or PowerPoint preferred).
Bilingual/Biliterate If assigned to bilingual program, bilingual and biliterate in targeted language required.
