Essential Job FunctionsThe Project Administrator to the State Court Administrator (SCA) is a full-time position to support the SCA in many different dimensions. The Project Administrator is an important advisor to the SCA and is responsible for analyses, recommendations, and implementation plans for strategic objectives and plans. This position completes special projects and conducts reviews of reports, policies, and written communication. The position also is responsible for complicated tasks such as complex research, using data and analytics to solve complex problems, offering recommendations and a course of action on certain matters, and juggling multiple time sensitive tasks.
The Project Administrator supports key committees and work groups and staff meetings. At the same time, the position demands the utmost discretion, dependability, and trustworthiness.
Conducts qualitative and quantitative analysis in support of initiatives to streamline procedures, improve operations, and encourage long-range planning to assure results. Reviews data and statistics to ensure validity and reliability of the data and identifies areas of potential concern. Provides data
-driven, operational-focused, objective advice, expertise, and implementation recommendations to the SCA to support the Judiciary?s strategic and operational plans . Manages and delegates issues before the Major Projects Committee by providing research, analysis, recommendations, and implementation strategies. Provides oversight on status and tracks responses to incoming requests related to Access Rules. Reviews and recommends best practices to complete special projects that require Judiciary knowledge, such as, but not limited to, security workforce support, continuity of service plans, legislative requests specific to the SCA, and data access requests.
Conducts initial review and approval of reports, publications, policies, and other written communications on behalf of the SCA. Drafts, edits, and review of correspondence and formal email communications for the SCA and others. Attends meetings and utilizes writing skills to take meeting notes as well as documents and tracks developments and action items that may have an impact on the Judiciary;
produces meeting minutes. Serves as a day-to-day liaison with key Judiciary leaders and executive level personnel within the AOC and District Court Headquarters.
Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university. A Degree in Business Administration/Management or Public Policy preferred.
Experience
:
Seven (7) years of legal, administrative, or operations experience within a judicial or legal environment which required legal research and writing. One (1) year of statistical analytics.
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience working with a high-level executive.
- Experience with IT hardware and software.
- Knowledge of the Maryland Judiciary including rules, policies, procedures, and structure.
- Knowledge of statistical research and analyzing data.
- Ability to manage large amounts of detailed information with accuracy and skill.
