Summary
Meta designs, builds, leases, and operates high‑performance, efficient data centers. Locating, developing and managing this data center infrastructure effectively is synonymous with ensuring high uptime, capacity availability, flexibility and capital and operational cost efficiency. Meta is seeking an experienced, organized, and collaborative Economic Development Manager. We are seeking a Data Center Economic Development Manager who has extensive experience negotiating large, complex economic development deals and an extensive knowledge of the legal agreements that accompany them.

Center Economic Development Manager Responsibilities
Economic development project lead for new data center site selection efforts as well as existing site expansionsComplete diligence relating to economic development programs as well as state and local taxesPartner with site selection and legal teams to negotiate economic development agreements with various state and local governments and economic development agenciesInterface with internal organizations including data center design, construction, legal, finance, accounting and taxWork cross‑functionally to understand the project parameters needed to support data center economic development discussionsLead various projects related to our data centers, as neededMinimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a directly related field, or equivalent practical experience15+ years of experience in state and local taxes and economic incentivesBachelor's Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Finance, Economics, Public Policy, or related field)Contract negotiation experienceFinancial analysis and project management experienceExperience negotiating, communicating and representing the company’s interests with economic development personnel, government officials, and service providersExperience coordinating internal staff and consultantsProven precise communication skillsPreferred Qualifications
Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologiesPublic Compensation
$202,000/year to $273,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
