Responsibilities- Receive referral calls, obtain minimal demographic information, and refer the call to the appropriate source or schedule an assessment.
- Process all requests for information and external referrals.
- Complete pre‑certifications as needed.
- Assist in arranging admission of patients, including alerting the business office staff to begin the verification of benefits, initiating calls to physicians and other related tasks as directed by the Case Manager.
- Determine what Releases of Information are needed, and process them accordingly, per policy.
- Assist in obtaining needed records and information.
- Assist in maintaining all statistics; provide support to the Outcome Study and other data assignments.
- Maintain good communication with the Utilization Review, Business Office, and other staff as indicated.

Bachelors’ degree preferred. - Experience:
Experience working in a hospital intake department or business office preferred.
