NIC Academy is fast-growing online learning business serving professionals in the senior housing and care industry. Our programs focus on practical, real-world education for operators, investors, lenders, developers, and other professionals working in this sector.

After launching our first certificate programs (focused on valuation and underwriting properties) and validating early demand, NIC Academy is entering its next phase of growth. We are moving from a proof-of-concept phase to scaled growth, and we are building the systems, programs, and learning experiences that will support that expansion.

We’re seeking a Business Development Associate who will own the entire learner sales pipeline—from lead nurturing through program enrollment and completion.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Own and manage the full student sales pipeline from first touch to enrollment.
  • Conduct outreach, discovery, and follow-up with prospective learners.
  • Develop stage-specific nurture sequences and engagement touchpoints.
  • Track student progress and proactively intervene to support completion.
  • Own Salesforce setup, configuration, workflows, and reporting.
  • Build dashboards, forecasts, and performance reports.
  • Propose pipeline and conversion experiments; test, measure, and iterate.
  • Partner with Marketing on collateral, messaging, and outreach campaigns.
  • Support segmentation and value proposition development.
Events & Conferences
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, booths, and panels.
  • Support event strategy and follow-up processes.

Requirements

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • 1–5+ years in sales, Business Development.
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills.
  • Comfort with CRM-driven workflows.
PREFERRED
  • Experience in online learning
  • Experience in senior housing, healthcare, real estate investment
  • Experience representing a brand at conferences.
  • Salesforce administration or reporting experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work is generally remote but when working in the NIC office environment there may be exposure to moderate noise levels. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for six to eight hours daily or prolonged periods of time and includes physical demands associated with a traditional office setting, e.g., walking, standing, communicating, and other physical functions as necessary. Physical requirements of this position include the following:

Lifting up to 25 lbs.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
