Dental Consultant

Position open to all qualified candidates.

Location: 791 Aquahart Road, Glen Burnie, MD 21061 and 3 Harry S Truman Parkway, Annapolis, MD 21401

Hours: 8 - 24 hours per week

Annual Budgeted Amount: $93,900

Nature of Work:

A dentist who provides dental consultation and clinical treatment under the direction and supervision of the Dental Program Manager. In accordance with the mission of the Anne Arundel County Department of Health, provide dental services in order to preserve, promote and protect the health and well-being of all people by advancing health equity in Anne Arundel County.

Education:

The education required is determined by the State Board of Dental Examiners under the licensing requirements for Dentists.

Experience:

Five years in the practice of dentistry.

License or Certification:

• Must possess a current license as a Dentist from the State Board of Dental Examiners.
• Must possess or be eligible to obtain controlled substances registration certificates as issued by the federal government and Maryland.
• Must possess current CPR certification and be registered with CRISP (Chesapeake Regional Information System for Our Patients).
• Shall provide documentation of current professional malpractice insurance with a minimum of $1 million per incident/$3 million aggregate coverage.

Desired or Preferred Qualifications:

Two years of dental experience treating children and adolescents.
