Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Landscape Architect
- Forestry to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in designing, planning, and implementing forest restoration projects while considering ecological, aesthetic, and functional aspects.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Analysis and Planning: Conduct detailed site assessments, analyzing ecological systems and landscape conditions to develop restoration strategies.

Design Development: Create comprehensive landscape designs that incorporate native plant species and hydrologic considerations to restore riparian forest ecosystems.

Project Management: Oversee the implementation of restoration projects, including coordinating with regulatory agencies, landowners, and contractors.

Collaboration: Work closely with ecologists, environmental scientists, and other stakeholders to integrate ecological principles into landscape design and restoration efforts.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permits, and assist in preparing necessary documentation for regulatory approvals.

Monitoring and Maintenance Planning: Develop plans for post-restoration monitoring and maintenance to ensure the long-term success of restoration efforts.

Requirements:

Degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field.

Proven experience (5+ years) in landscape architecture with a focus on ecological restoration, preferably in forest ecosystems.

Industry Certifications are a plus.

Desire to work in a small, growing, and innovative company.

Strong knowledge of native plant species, forest ecology, and restoration techniques.

Proficiency in relevant design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, GIS, Adobe Creative Suite).

Project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and contractor coordination.

Understanding of environmental regulations and permitting processes.
