Overview
Club Sci Kidz MD offers science and technology summer camps for children ages 4-15 years in Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Howard, and Montgomery counties. We are hiring Lead Instructors to work at our Annapolis location. The Lead Instructor position is for people at least 20 years old and who have at least one year of experience teaching and leading a group of children.
Preference is given to certified teachers, education majors, and other individuals in the education/day care fields.
Our Annapolis location camps run from June 15–July 31, Monday–Friday. Staff hours are approximately 8:30am–4:00pm with one aftercare shift per week. Pay starts at $575 per week and is dependent on experience working with children and the fields of science & technology. Certified teachers start at $640 per week.
Responsibilities- Supervising campers
- Implementing provided lessons (all lessons, materials & supplies are provided)
- Keeping kids engaged while maintaining a safe environment
- Having fun with what you are doing
- Being on time every day for your required shifts (you are scheduled by the week, so you work a whole week (Monday–Friday) for the weeks you are scheduled)
- Working with other staff to provide an excellent camp experience
- Must be at least 20 years old
- Enjoy working with children
- Have experience working with, teaching and leading a group of up to 18 children
- Want to help campers have a great summer as they learn science & technology
- Passionate about providing children with hands-on learning experiences
- Are reliable & hard working; have reliable transportation
- Can commit to work at least 4 weeks; preference given to applicants who can work all 6 weeks. If interested, additional weeks are available the last half of the summer at our Odenton location
- Having some experience with technology is a plus, but not a requirement
