Founded in 1958 by professors from St. John’s College, Key School engages children from 2.5 years of age through grade 12 in a progressive, co‑educational, college‑preparatory program on its 15‑acre campus four miles from downtown Annapolis. The community is diverse and welcoming, with 39% of students of color and 32% receiving financial aid. Key School is a member of IAAM and MIAA.

Key’s Athletic program blends individual achievement with team needs, broad participation with deep commitment. Coaches are expected to promote inclusivity, master skill development, understand tactics, foster teamwork, and develop character. Practices and games occur Monday‑Friday afternoons, with occasional Saturday games for varsity and JV teams. Coaches must be available for all practices and games and hold CPR certification, which the school pays for.

• Experience coaching in a school setting, preferably in soccer or volleyball.
• CPR certified or willing to obtain certification.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students and staff to foster a competitive yet sports‑martial, inclusive environment.
