Dream and Grow-Middle and High School Curriculum and Program

The VISTA member will build the capacity of Seeds 4 Success by coordinating the expansion of the Dream Program from one to two evenings per week, supporting the expansion of the Grow Program during its first full school year of two-night programming, updating the Dream Program mentoring curriculum, and recruiting new volunteers to support expansion efforts.

• Coordinate the expansion of program nights: secure space, materials, and schedules for additional sessions.
• Observe sessions, gather feedback, and recommend improvements for consistent programming.
• Recruit and engage volunteers: create outreach materials, assist in screening, conduct interviews, perform background checks, and lead training.
• Assist in curriculum development: research best practices in mentoring, academic support, and college/career readiness; define learning objectives and create a month‑by‑month curriculum framework; develop lesson plans with activities, handouts, and discussion guides; pilot lessons, gather feedback, and refine content.
• Support the growth of the Dream and Grow programs by updating mentoring curricula and ensuring effective volunteer contributions.

• Strong communication and organizational skills; proficiency in written and verbal communication.
• Team player who can gather feedback and contribute to program improvement.
• Experience in volunteer management or educational settings helpful but not required.
• Passion for supporting students from low‑income households and commitment to making a positive impact on their futures.
