POTENTIAL INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR INSTRUCTIONAL ASSIGNMENTS

Concorde Education is seeking independent instructional contractors to provide Minecraft-based enrichment services for K-12 students.

This is a potential independent contractor assignment, not an employee position. Contractors may choose whether to apply for, accept, decline, or ignore available opportunities. Assignments vary by school, grade level, schedule, curriculum, available technology, Minecraft edition, classroom resources, and program objectives. Concorde may provide curriculum guidance, lesson‑plan suggestions, project ideas, instructional resources, or program objectives. Contractors may use professional judgment to adapt instruction within the assignment scope and applicable site requirements.

    Typical compensation of $50+ per completed instructional service hour, depending on assignment scope, experience, location, schedule, and agreed compensation
Assignment Scope
  • Plan and facilitate engaging, age‑appropriate Minecraft enrichment sessions
  • Introduce students to collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, digital citizenship, and problem‑solving through Minecraft‑based projects and activities
  • Adapt instruction based on student experience levels, site requirements, available technology, Minecraft platform, and program objectives
  • Support students in designing, building, exploring, collaborating, completing challenges, or developing creative projects within Minecraft, where applicable
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, inclusive, and age‑appropriate learning environment
  • Communicate assignment‑related needs or significant concerns with Concorde and school staff, as appropriate
  • Complete a brief session completion form after each scheduled session
  • Follow applicable site safety, visitor, technology, emergency, and student‑protection procedures
Example Program Topics
  • Minecraft gameplay fundamentals, controls, navigation, and survival mechanics
  • Creative Mode building, design, and architectural challenges
  • Resource management, planning, and strategic problem‑solving
  • Team‑based construction projects and collaborative gameplay
  • Redstone fundamentals, simple automation, and engineering concepts
  • World design, creativity, storytelling, and project presentation
  • Digital citizenship, online safety, teamwork, and respectful collaboration
  • Logical thinking, communication, creativity, and perseverance through project‑based learning
Qualifications
  • At least 60 college credits, where required by the applicable assignment or site
  • Experience with Minecraft and a strong understanding of game mechanics, Creative Mode, Survival Mode, and collaborative gameplay
  • Experience teaching, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, or leading activities with school‑age students
  • Strong communication, organization, and classroom facilitation skills

    Availability to provide services for the accepted assignment schedule and communicate schedule issues as soon as reasonably practicable
  • Familiarity with Chromebooks, Windows PCs, tablets, educational technology, or gaming platforms commonly used in school environments

Preferred backgrounds may include educators, Minecraft instructors, STEM educators, technology instructors, esports coaches, camp counselors, youth program leaders, game designers, computer science students, and others with relevant instructional or gaming experience.

Materials and Resources

Assignments may utilize school‑provided computers, Chromebooks, Minecraft licenses, curriculum resources, lesson plans, project guides, educational technology, and other instructional materials, where available. Contractors may use their own instructional methods and materials when appropriate, safe, age‑appropriate, lawful, and consistent with the assignment scope and site requirements.…
