Position Overview
Systems Engineer – Supports developmental test and evaluation of acoustic systems for the P-8A Integrated Test Team. Applies engineering principles to research, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, and evaluate systems and prepares technical documentation.
Position Requirements- Degree:
Bachelor’s in Engineering or related technical field (Master’s may substitute for 2 experience). - Experience:
Three years in Developmental Test & Evaluation, NAVAIR/NAWCAD or equivalent; experience with test and evaluation, naval or DoD acquisition, and underwater acoustics; former sensor/sonobuoy operator experience is advantageous. - Skills:
Ability to communicate, work within a team and a classified environment, apply physical principles and engineering knowledge to assessment of systems under development. - Desired:
Three years assisting senior positions performing similar duties.
Salary Range: 80K‑150K (commensurate with experience).
Full‑time.
Clearance:
Top Secret (desired).
Travel:
Limited, 3‑4 trips of 4‑5 days annually.
