Mechanical Design Engineer (NX)

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer who will be responsible for creating accurate 3D CAD models and engineering drawings of mechanical and electro‑mechanical components and assemblies. This role requires adherence to ASME Y14.100 Engineering Drawing Practices and close collaboration with a multi‑disciplined engineering review team to ensure customer satisfaction. The role is based at our facility in Annapolis, Maryland, specializing in the design, test, and development of Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUVs) and related systems.

• Create accurate 3D CAD models and engineering drawings in NX according to ASME Y14.100 Engineering Drawing Practices.
• Collaborate with a multi‑disciplined engineering review team to ensure customer satisfaction with the design.
• Ensure the accuracy and clarity of engineering documents, including drawing completeness.
• Review engineering drawings and designs for accuracy, manufacturability, and assembly.
• Support continuous improvement of the mechanical design process.

• 3-5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; 1-2 years with a Master's degree.
• Experience with Siemens NX or Solid Works for 3-5 years.
• Understanding of cost and schedule monitoring.
• Ability to work on‑site in Annapolis, Maryland.

• Active security clearance is preferred.
• Experience with Siemens NX, Creo, CATIA, or Solid Works.
• Familiarity with Teamcenter, Enovia, or Windchill.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and accomplish tasks simultaneously.

The work environment is based in a beautiful facility on the Chesapeake Bay in Annapolis, Maryland. The location specializes in the design, testing, and development of Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUVs) and related systems such as sonar systems, torpedo warning systems, and other advanced maritime and land sensors.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Annapolis, MD.

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
