Job Overview
Float Universal Bankers will travel to multiple branches as assigned by the Area Leader and/or Branch Leader to provide timely and efficient completion of client transactions while maintaining accurate records and proper handling of all monies. They will deliver superior quality service, identify and understand clients’ financial needs, and support sales and service activities as needed.
- Provides a distinctive client experience by engaging clients with a smile, facilitating courteous conversation, and conducting both complex and standard transactions while uncovering needs. Performs more complex transactions with assistance when necessary.
- Educates clients on digital self‑service solutions, including ATMs, online and mobile banking, to enhance their service experience.
- Supports the team by making client servicing calls, presenting offers, identifying needs or opportunities, and referring clients to appropriate team members or specialists.
- Participates fully in all components of the established Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
- Commits to advancing knowledge to better serve clients by completing applicable training classes and web‑based learning.
- Adheres to internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies, staying informed of all changes to ensure compliance with current guidelines.
- Serves as point of contact for account maintenance, problem resolution, identifying solutions and services, and referring clients to the appropriate teammate.
- Float Universal Bankers will be assigned to a home branch but will be scheduled to support multiple branches within their designated coverage area. Schedules are provided in advance but may change based on staffing needs. Float teammates will receive direction from the Branch Leader of the location they are working in on any designated day or week.
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Proven and consistent proficiency in teller or cash handling or client service skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, including a desire to interact with clients and prospects.
- Ability to use office equipment and perform basic mathematical functions.
- Willing and able to follow written and verbal instructions and work under established guidelines.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent client service and provide team support.
- Availability to work Saturdays and/or extended hours.
- Demonstrated ability to uncover referral opportunities.
- Knowledge of advanced or complex branch transactions.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities under time constraints.
- General understanding of bank operations, policies, and procedures.

Work Shift: 1st shift (United States of America)
Salary: $45,760 - $52,500 annually
Benefits: All regular teammates working 20 hours or more per week are eligible for benefits, which include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, accidental death and dismemberment, tax‑preferred savings accounts, and a 401(k) plan. Teammates also receive no less than 10 days of paid vacation (prorated based on date of hire and status), 10 sick days (also prorated), and paid holidays.
