About Veritas Partners

Veritas Partners is a professional recruiting and staffing firm specializing in placing talent within the energy infrastructure and renewable energy sectors. The company focuses on connecting qualified finance, engineering, and project development professionals with leading organizations in the rapidly growing renewable energy industry. Veritas Partners serves as a bridge between skilled professionals and some of the fastest-growing renewable energy developers and independent power producers (IPPs) in the United States.

The firm specializes in project finance, energy infrastructure investing, and development roles across utility-scale solar, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and other renewable energy projects. By leveraging deep industry expertise and extensive networks within the energy sector, Veritas Partners identifies and places candidates who can drive the advancement of renewable energy projects from initial underwriting through development, construction, and operations.

The company is recognized for its ability to match finance professionals with organizations known for excellent company culture and sector growth. Veritas Partners understands the complexities of project finance transactions, tax equity structures, and renewable energy market dynamics, allowing them to place candidates in roles where they can make meaningful contributions to the energy transition.

About this Role

This position represents a newly opened opportunity within one of the fastest-growing US renewable energy developers and independent power producers. The company operates a rapidly expanding portfolio of utility-scale solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS) projects. Due to the expanding deal flow, this highly analytical and execution-oriented senior analyst position will support the structuring and execution of project finance transactions across the full lifecycle of a financing, rather than focusing on a single workstream.

The role encompasses responsibilities from initial underwriting assumptions through capital raise, closing, and post-closing compliance to support the development, construction, and operations of the company’s utility-scale renewable energy portfolio. This position will be integral in managing debt and tax equity capital raising while contributing financial and valuation analysis that informs the broader development and acquisition pipeline. The opportunity offers a competitive compensation plan comprised of a base salary in the $115,000 to $125,000 range and an annual bonus target of 25%.

The position provides a comprehensive benefits package and the flexibility to work fully remote or on a hybrid basis from the company’s Annapolis, Maryland office. This is a unique opportunity for finance professionals with 2-4 or more years of related renewable industry experience to join one of the fastest-growing organizations in the industry.

Responsibilities
  • Support and manage aspects of debt and tax equity capital raising and transaction execution for solar and battery storage projects
  • Contribute financial and valuation analysis that informs the broader development and acquisition pipeline
  • Build and manage bespoke financial models that accurately reflect debt, tax equity, and equity terms of financing structures
  • Ensure internal and external models accurately reflect the transaction structure and terms, and maintain a strong understanding of the causal relationships between model inputs and outputs
  • Manage external accounting consultants on production of tax equity deal models and manage the financial model audit process and related consultant workstream through close
  • Maintain portfolio- and corporate-level models and provide current financing assumptions (pricing, sizing, and terms) to development and commercial teams for pre-NTP acquisition underwriting
  • Perform valuation and financial diligence analysis for potential acquisition and disposition opportunities and for assets in development pipeline, including DCF-based analysis
  • Create reports that detail valuation economics for pipeline projects and organize and verify financial inputs received from Development,…
