Position Summary / Scope of responsibility

The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and maintaining clinic operations to ensure efficiency and productivity. The scope of responsibility overseen and managed by the Clinical Supervisor in close partnership with the Clinical Department Manager include but are not limited to patient satisfaction, clinical revenue, staff relations and efficiency, and regulatory/policy adherence.
Compensation: $25-$35/hour - Dependent on education, experience, and performance.

- Oversees and maintains clinic while monitoring and assisting with patient flow in assigned practice location(s).
- Serves as the onsite resource for clinical issues, clinical information, and IT Systems.
- Facilitates the overall development and implementation of a comprehensive, individualized plan of treatment in conjunction with other treatment team members.
- Assists Clinic Manager with developing and updating clinic policies and procedures. Including training clinical staff in all standard operations procedures (SOP) and updates in procedures.
- Monitors work boards to ensure all DME orders are dispensed to patients in a timely manner.
- Oversees and coordinates staff schedules to maintain adequate clinic staffing and efficiency.
- Effectively communicates the needs of the clinic when delegating duties to all clinic staff.
- Assists fiscal management and other administrative staff to develop/implement cost effective policies and procedures for all clinical areas, which may include billing, insurance, fee schedules, credit/collections, purchasing, and space planning.
- Orders and maintains inventory and medical supplies by ordering for the assigned practice location(s) in a timely and efficient manner according to office guidelines and policies.
- Works with office staff to ensure scheduling of patients for procedures and testing has occurred, and necessary items are in place prior to procedures and surgeries.
- Participates in the recruitment and onboarding efforts of new clinical staff members. Including coordination of initial/follow-up training and reviews.
- Establishes goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and systems for assigned clinical areas.
- Assists in all clinical departments as needed and as a leader. Including patient intake, guidance, testing, and medical assistance.
- Schedules and conducts in-service training for all clinical staff regularly to ensure proper adherence to compliant and effective practices.
- Ensures consistent compliance with all regulatory and CAO guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Associate degree or higher level of education in Healthcare Administration, HIM, or related area of study or commensurate experience.
- At least 3 years of MA experience working in healthcare or in a related area required, with supervisory experience preferred.
- Proficient knowledge of medical terminology.
