Location: 3 Harry S. Truman Parkway, Annapolis, MD 21401
Hours: 40 hours per week, 12 - 15 weeks, May - August
Annual Budgeted Amount: $24,114
Job DescriptionNature of Work:
Under the supervision of an Environmental Health Specialist, summer students will be hired to work in the Environmental Health Bureau. Duties will include water sampling, data analysis and environmental health inspections. Training will be provided to perform these functions as well as other duties, such as computer data entry, telephone communications and completing paperwork. Requires daily travel throughout Anne Arundel County.
Must have their own vehicle. Students will work 35 - 40 hours per week, for 12-15 weeks, from mid-May to August.
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalency (GED).
Experience:
College students with an Environmental Health, Environmental Science, Biology or other science concentration are encouraged to apply.
License or Certification:
Driver's license.
