Junior Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders and end-users to gather, analyze, and document business requirements and process flows
• Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, use cases, and system design documents for the development team
• Assist in the functional configuration, setup, and maintenance of People Soft modules to meet business requirements
• Participate in all phases of the testing lifecycle, including creating test plans, writing test scripts, and coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Act as a primary point of contact for troubleshooting system issues, performing initial analysis, and collaborating with technical teams for resolution
• Develop and maintain critical documentation, including functional design documents, process flow diagrams, user guides, and training materials
• Provide ongoing functional support and training to end-users to promote system adoption and efficiency
• Utilize SQL and People Soft Query Manager to perform data analysis, generate reports, and validate data integrity
• Assist senior analysts in identifying opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements

• Experience in financial analysis and modeling
• Experience with Data Visualization and tools such as Tableau
• Experience with data mining and dataset analysis
• Familiarity with SQL or Oracle

• Familiarity with reading People Code and SQR to understand existing system logic is a strong plus
• Proficiency in writing SQL queries for data analysis and reporting
• Understanding of People Soft architecture, core modules (e.g., HCM, FSCM), and navigation
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to act as a liaison between technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Eagerness to learn and a strong desire to develop a deep understanding of business processes and systems analysis

Must have an active TS/SCI with polygraph level clearance

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland
. The base pay range for this position in these locations is: $103,800—$192,300 USD.
