Systems Engineer to join our team and support our client in the Ft. Meade, MD area. Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with business stakeholders and end-users to gather, analyze, and document business requirements and process flows
* Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, use cases, and system design documents for the development team
* Assist in the functional configuration, setup, and maintenance of People Soft modules to meet business requirements
* Participate in all phases of the testing lifecycle, including creating test plans, writing test scripts, and coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
* Act as a primary point of contact for troubleshooting system issues, performing initial analysis, and collaborating with technical teams for resolution
* Develop and maintain critical documentation, including functional design documents, process flow diagrams, user guides, and training materials
* Provide ongoing functional support and training to end-users to promote system adoption and efficiency
* Utilize SQL and People Soft Query Manager to perform data analysis, generate reports, and validate data integrity
* Assist senior analysts in identifying opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements Here's what you need:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other technical field
* Experience with Data analysis or visualization and tools such as Tableau
* Experience with data organization using applications
* Familiarity with SQL or Oracle Bonus points if you have:
* Familiarity with reading People Code and SQR to understand existing system logic is a strong plus
* Proficiency in writing SQL queries for data analysis and reporting
* Understanding of People Soft architecture, core modules (e.g., HCM, FSCM), and navigation
* Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to act as a liaison between technical and non-technical audiences
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
* Eagerness to learn and a strong desire to develop a deep understanding of business processes and systems analysis Security Clearance:

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below.
