Bestgate Engineering is seeking a cleared Lead Dev Ops Engineer to support the development and sustainment of a reliable, highly available platform that orchestrates microservices within a modernized operational system using cutting edge technologies. This role is ideal for a Dev Ops professional with strong cloud infrastructure, automation, containerization, and CI/CD experience supporting mission critical environments. This position will also provide technical leadership across infrastructure priorities, sprint execution, and Dev Ops team coordination.
Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• 12+ years of professional experience; or 10+ years with a related Master's degree.
• Extensive experience architecting infrastructure leveraging AWS technologies and services.
• Experience developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation scripting using technologies such as Python, Ansible, and Terraform.
• Strong background in containerization technologies including Kubernetes, EKS, ECS, Docker, and Docker Compose.
• Experience performing high level functional systems analysis, integration, implementation, and complex issue resolution.
• Experience evaluating and optimizing cloud infrastructure costs and AWS service utilization.
• Experience managing sprint priorities, ticket decomposition, and team tasking in Agile environments.
• Experience tracking ticket execution and driving technical direction aligned to program and product needs.
• Experience managing CI/CD pipelines utilizing Git Lab runners and Argo CD.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills within a team oriented environment.

Desired Skills:

• Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure including EC2, Lambda, S3, SNS, SQS, Event Router, Athena, and Step Functions using Terraform and auto scaling.
• Understanding of AWS networking principles including VPCs, NATs, and IP Gateway.
• Develop and manage Git Lab CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and ensure system uptime.
• Kubernetes experience with a focus on EKS, ECS, and/or Fargate.

Salary Range:
$195,000 - $240,000
