Systems Administrator, IT Support
Job Overview
Nightwing delivers advanced cyber operations, data intelligence, and systems integration services across the intelligence, defense, civil, and commercial sectors. We seek a Systems Administrator to support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of our IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities- Optimize system operations and resource utilization; perform capacity analysis and planning.
- Manage daily configuration and operation activities of IT systems.
- Assist users in accessing and using IT systems.
- Diagnose and resolve IT system issues with tier‑1 help desk and tier‑2 escalation support.
- Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.
- Support the dispatch system and hardware issues, remaining involved in resolution.
- Configure and manage UNIX and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems; install and load OS software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity, and configure network components to improve reliability and performance.
- Support design of systems, mission architecture, and associated hardware.
Typically requires ten (10) years of experience as a Systems Administrator on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity, and a bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university. Five (5) years of additional Systems Administrator experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree. DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT), Level II is required.
- Experience with cloud technologies such as Kubernetes, Terraform, and Ansible.
- Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.
The salary range for this position is $122,000 to $253,000, commensurate with qualifications, experience, and expertise. Nightwing provides medical, vision, and dental insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, holidays, and additional insurance options.
